One of set of 18 circular Belgian plates. This plate depictis the town hall in Furnes (Veurne) with market scene in square. Has a blue and gold decorated border. During the Battle of the Yser in October 1914, the Town Hall became the headquarters for the Belgian troops under King Albert. Presented to President Wilson by the King and Queen of Belgium at the White House, October 30, 1919.
