Bust portrait of Benjamin Lincoln (1733-1810), in military uniform, facing forward, head tilted slightly left. Apparently powdered hair, blue eyes. White stock. Buff waistcoat with 5 brass buttons in view, all buttoned. Dark blue coat with buff facings, brass buttons, & gold epaulettes with 2(?) silver stars. Dark brown background at top & left to olive brown at center right. Gilt wood frame with carved edge on each side of cove; spandrel with oval opening.
