Bernardine Church

The Bernardine church and monastery This is the ensemble of the Bernardine monastery with a bell tower, a wall and the church of St. Andrew the First-Called. Today, the ancient monastery houses one of the most extensive archives in Eastern Europe: it houses the original of the Union of Brest - act of unification of the Eastern and Western churches. Jan of Dukla – the first canonized Lviv saint served in this church. In his memory, a well was built in the monastery's courtyard and a monument in front of the church.
