Bharata comes to meet Rama at Chitrakuta

This painting depicts the scene of the meeting between the two brothers at Chitrakuta. It is unique because it depicts two highly emotional scenes in one painting. Firstly, extreme happiness, when Rama meets his brothers, mothers and family members, and the secondly, extreme sorrow, when Rama learns about the sad demise of his father.
