The Bhutan Glory has a wingspan of up to 11cm. It is primarily found in the Himalayas at elevations of over 5,000 feet (1,500m). Moving with a slow, erratic flight, the transparent grey undersides of the wings help to camouflage the Bhutan Glory among the shadows of the trees, and when alighting, the wings fold to conceal the vibrant orange-red markings.
