Bianhu of circular form, and each of the slightly domed sides centered with a raised boss. The cylindrical neck has moulded S-shaped brackets, and raised on a rectangular foot rim. Painted in underglaze blue in the Ming-style simulating the "heaping and piling" effect, found on early Ming porcelain. The neck, shoulders and foot rim has a dense foliate lingzi scroll design. The circular panels has a key-pattern border centering a traditional design of eight radiating lotus petal panels each decorated with one of the bajixiang or eight Buddhist emblems. Six character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue.
