This carved Dutch box held a Roosevelt famiy Bible dating from the 16th century. The box is decorated with the coats-of-arms for the Beleke and Bersvort families, who have no known connection to the Roosevelts. The Bible, now in the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, was used for the swearing in at all four of FDR's inaugurations.
