Biblia Pauperum. The Art of the Poor and Excluded - temporary exhibition

“Biblia Pauperum.The Art of the Poor and Excluded. Depictions of God in Folk Art” exhibitionmakes use of the greatest exhibits from the collection of The State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. The narrative presents the peasants’ take on the Bible and their understanding of the world and bases on Biblicaland apocryphal elements of the story of the Salvation, present in folk art. The exhibits make us realise the coherence and timelessness of the presented reality, they help us discover our own identity and are mirrors for our souls. This notion is close to everyone’s heart, after all most of us can trace their roots to somewhere in the countryside.
