Bicycle shop Kuijpers diorama

Diorama of bicycle shop "Kuijpers" in the city of Veghel, with a 6-pounder gun in front. The shop was the centre of the Veghel Resistance group, with bicycle repairer Ton Kuijpers as the driving force. He was awarded the Memorial Cross for his heroism during the occupation and for his assistance to the allied forces after the liberation on 17 September, 1944. The backdrop shows a picture of the Bailey bridge at Son, part of 'Hell's Highway'.
