The project develops the open spaces proposed by Zaha Hadid's Zorrozaurre Masterplan. It is the result of the analysis of the place and the search for solutions to public needs and is considered a key element in the transformation of Bilbao. The first phase focused on the recovery of the right bank of the Bilbao River, in the area of the Deusto, Sarriko, and San Ignacio neighborhoods. A promenade that recalls the old Sirga way is reconstructed, reinforcing the pedestrian and cycling continuity from the city center, integrating the industrial remains (cranes and rails, concrete pavements with slag, etc.). The promenade includes unique elements such as a square in front of the water and some stairs that allow the public to touch and descend to the water surface and contemplate the movement of the tides throughout the hours.
