Bill Shepherd, commander of the International Space Station’s Expedition One crew who returned to Earth aboard Discovery, responds to a question during an interview. . The interview was held in the suitup room of the astronauts’ quarters in the Operations and Checkout Building upon the crew’s return after landing. Discovery returned from mission STS-102, landing at KSC March 21. Part of the STS-102 mission was to take the Expedition Two crew to the Space Station and exchange crews.
