"Glass cabinets were a kind of furniture used a lot in the XIX century houses to keep saints. They were usually placed on a chest of drawers. This one in particular, of neoclassical lines, is in the Elizabethan room of Can Llopis, present Romantic Museum of Sitges.
It contains a “Jesus Christ birth” of Baroque memories, dated around the year 1800. It is composed of free-standing figures, the main ones with articulated arms, dressed in silk clothes and gold thread laces, placed in front of a staging at the feet of the Infant a manuscript is kept, in which it is specified the eighty years of indulgence that Antoni Bergosa, the Tarragona archbishop between 1818 and 1819, granted to those who played in front of the glass cabinet images."
