"It is about a game formed by 49 ornamental tiles of Valencian style installed in the gallery pavement of the Romantic Museus of Sitges. The tiles add motives and symbols inspired in the vignettes games.

A betting game with the banker stretched on the table a vignette of parchment, wood or printed or painted paper. Players put a coin on the square. Players put a coin on the square. When some bets were done, the banker that has the paper bits in a bag that reproduced the motives of the box rolled as rhyming couplet, he took one from the bag. The person who bet for the same square as the won rhyming couplet, multiply the bet.
The vignette game, very popular, was persecuted and forbidden in the XVII century. In France among other names it was known as bis bis.

In this case the numbering order of the boxes doesn’t follow the same as the vignettes that begins by the left top part, but begins in the centre and follows as a spiral way following the clockwise. Incidentally the squares number one and nine have Napoleon as a main character, and the last one a banker or a moneylender."
