The model shows a reconstruction of the stone foundation of the Bischofsburg (Bishop's Castle). Instead of being part of the Bishop's residence, it may have been part of the ancient town gate of Hamburg in the 12th century - together with a similar tower on the other side of the street Steinstraße. The foundation, with a diameter of 19 meters, is the oldest preserved building of Hamburg and can be visited in the outpost of the Archaeological Museum of Hamburg, at Cathedral Square (Domplatz).
