This 3-D scan of a Bison latifrons, produced by the Idaho Museum of Natural History Virtualization Lab, consists of bones from different several specimens. The cranium, known as Gigantobison II or “Mary Lou,” with its horn core span of 8.5 feet, is one the largest Bison latifrons specimens in the Bureau of Reclamation's museum collection. The other skeletal bones used in this scan are a composite from other Bureau of Reclamation specimens.
