I want to offer an individual insight into cryptocurrency revolution in our current times, through «Art pour Argent» series.
I wish to make a comparison and equate bitcoin with art that both provide an outlet for personal wealth that is beyond restriction and confiscation.
The freedom that the human being yearns for and that the creative achieves through art with their hands and mind, with body and spirit can be compared to what the beginning of the digital age and the internet specially made us feel. And that soon made possible the birth of the cryptocurrency.
Encircled in illustrated bitcoins, I send visual messages about ecology like the recurring symbol of the leaf, economics, with the recurring symbol of the crown that places money as king above all, and a political message when I make portraits of Chilean men with dozens of eyes.
“The direct expression of my feelings and needs of change that I experiment as a human being are plasmed in my paintings. I am seeking beauty, poetry and to offer some justice to people. I paint human beings, their feelings, their habits, their differences and experiences in today's world. I believe that we can aspire to be more human through consciousness and I expect that the spectator will find in my paintings unique human beings that even in the problems are staying in a meditating, thoughtful, and peaceful state..
It makes sense and is part of the concept that my painted bitcoins are indexed to the value of the bitcoin and fluctuate with the market, going up and down in value, being unstable like what happens in the market and in life in general.
In moments of economic struggles I start thinking in fabrics money, make my own currency. So with my paintings I exchange money for money, I mean Art for Money. Peer to peer. I start thinking in the currency of the past and the currency of the futur and what has value today. I still have many questions about what means money today.
