Clorindo Testa was part of the plastic renovation of the late 50's, whose way of access to formal experimentation was informalist. In "Círculo negro" the artist disintegrates the geometry referred to in the title, transforming the perfection of the circle into an organic element, with thickness, texture and depth, as if it were a form about to overflow the cord that surrounds it. A black circle that opens in the center of the canvas like an unfathomable abyss, which allows us to think of this emptiness that penetrates the painting under the war metaphor.
