Guangzhou Museum
Guangzhou, China

The shawl is embroidered with peony, lotus, chrysanthemum and other patterns in black silk, decorated with red, jade white, and blue-purple. The shawl is symmetrically arranged, with three layers of square patterns from the inside to the outside. The outermost layer is winding branches and leaves, with blooming plum blossoms interspersed among them. The diagonal and opposite side bouquets in the middle layer echo each other; the innermost layer is a symmetrical bouquet of flowers in four corners, leaving a cross blank in the center of the shawl.
