BLAENAVON, WALES - MARCH 01: A railway wagon is displayed at the Big Pit National Coal Museum on March 1, 2011 in Blaenavon, Wales. Blaenavon's industrial landscape, in south east Wales, was designated by the United Nations a Unesco World Heritage Site in December 2000 placing it alongside the Pyramids of Egypt and the Taj Mahal in terms of its importance for future preservation and conservation. The UK government is threatening to withdraw its support for Unesco after a government review found it unable to justify the millions of GBP it receives from British taxpayers. Unesco has designated more than 900 cultural and natural world heritage sites and 28 are in the UK including the City of Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury and Dorset and east Devon's coastline.
