Blaise Castle is a sham castle and prospect tower that was built in 1766 for Thomas Farr by London architect Robert Mylne. Built in a Gothick style, it is constructed in lias ashlar with limestone dressings. Although it was a folly within the Blaise Castle estate, Mylne's sham was habitable and provided views of shipping on the nearby Severn and Avon rivers.
