Painted in 1640-1642, it was located in the artist's study at the time of his death (1642), according to the inventary of the goods. Here, the religiousness of Guido found expression in a pure, abstract image that depicted the soul ascending into heaven toward the divine light. The beauty of the nude, which rests on the curve of the globe, echoes ancient models
