Block:Mega Blocks First Builders

Mega Bloks, a toy-making company known best for its construction sets, puzzles, games, and craft kits for girls, produced this First Builders set for ages 1 to 5. In the past few years, a number of toy manufacturers have consciously marketed traditional boy toys that they have redesigned to appeal to girls. Mega Bloks construction sets customarily made its building bricks set themed to interest boys, but created a "girl" version of their First Builder blocks in these more feminine colors. Mega Bloks closely resemble the competing LEGO blocks but, because the design patents for the basic design of LEGO bricks has expired, this comparable product can be produced and marketed.
