This Batik Sarong is stamped using a batik block. The structure of the cloth is separated into four parts : the head, body, kapit and feet. Normally, the motif used are from the same design elements. A triangle geometric design called the bamboo shoot can be found on the head of cloth. For the Malays, the main motif commonly used is the plant or botanical motifs. The use if the Batik sarong is often associated with daily use and the way it is used reflects the status of the wearer whether it is a single lady, a wife or widow.
