This porcelain jar is painted with fingered citron and chrysanthemums, both of which represent great fortune. The underneath of the base has the Chinese character for large (大) on it and the foot rim is inscribed with a phrase, stating that the jar was used in the king’s storeroom at the wedding ceremony for Emperor Gojong and Empress Myeongseong in Byeongin Year (1866).
