Give Kids the World Village is a theme park in Kissimmee, near many of Central Florida's other famous parks. It opened its doors in 1989 but its founders, leaders in the hospitality industry, began serving clients even before that. They established the non-profit organization to provide no-cost trips to central Florida attractions for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Since then, the village has served over 100,000 children and has never turned a child away. It is rated among the nations's top charities by Charity Navigator and the Better Business Bureau. In 2006, Hasbro collaborated with Give Kids the World to create a special commemorative version of its famous game Candy Land, marked for the Village itself.
