Parker Brothers' Careers board game first appeared in 1955, designed by the then-famous sociologist, linguist, and author James Cooke Brown. A popular seller since that time, the game has undergone many revisions of design, both in types of careers represented and in box cover graphics. Players choose certain life paths in the game, and accrue points toward a winning goal along the way.
