Over the course of her career, Brown worked with the giants of the toy industry-including Hasbro, Mattel, and Fisher-Price-in a number of capacities, including inventor, designer, consultant, and executive. With a hand in the development of such games as Girl Talk, Outburst, and Q-Bitz, she received the prestigious Toy and Game Industry (TAGI) award for Excellence in Game Design in 2009. Most recently, she dedicates her time to inventing games, writing books and stories, and simply inspiring creativity in others in any way she can. Through her contributions to the toy industry, Brown made a name for herself as a champion of the importance and spirit of play. Brown contributed to the design and development of King's Court, an alternate version of the classic game checkers.
