Board game:Game of Croquet

Board game manufacturers produced many games, over the years, that related to popular sports and pastimes. Several makers made board games based on the game croquet. Croquet first appeared in England during the 1860s and quickly spread to America and other countrie, enjoying great popularity during the later 19th century. Chaffee & Selchow's 1899 version, "Game of Croquet," demonstrates this trend.
