A simple automobile race game, McLoughlin Brothers' "Game of The Automobile Race" shows Santa Claus driving a car on its box cover. However, automobiles were uncommon sights in 1900. Ransom Olds, of Oldsmobile fame, produced only 425 cars in 1901. But the new machines undoubtedly caught the fancy of many Americans, and many American children. The auto that Santa drives on this game box slightly resembles an early production Oldsmobile car.
