An early copyright date of 1878 marks McLoughlin's combination game set, which holds five games in one package. The box illustration is deceiving: the game box is designed to resemble two books. Placed on a bookshelf, it disappears. The games included are Go Bang, Tivoli, Solitaire, Seige, and Fox and Geese. All these games appealed to both girls and boys and they generally carry medieval themes.
