Hashimoto-san was a character from the Terrytoons cartoon makers. Hashimoto-san was a "Japanese house mouse," also a husband and father to two children. The cartoon centers around common Japanese customs, such as a doll festival, and always involves the mouse family's enemy, a house cat. The segments typically end with a Confusius-like saying or parable related to the toon's subject. The cartoons are often called the first non-stereotyped cartoon depictions of Asian characters. Transogram produced a board game directly drawin from the series in 1963, which the donor's mother remembers fondly.
