Many of today's aging baby boomers remember "Howdy Doody," a children's television program which ran from 1947 until 1960. Ground-breaking in many ways, "Howdy Doody" set the pattern for many children's programs which followed it. Besides offering music, educational tidbits, and humor, the show marked one of the very first broadcasts in color, beginning in the early 1950s. 1955 saw the introduction of many spin-off products, such as this Milton Bradley board game. A simple race game for children, it helps demonstrate the popularity of the television program and the characters as well.
