In 1972, German designer Bernd Keinitz developed the Isolation strategy game, apparently published simultaneously in both Germany and the United States--the latter by Lakeside Games. A simple but clever mechanism allows for a quick strategy game, where the goal is to be the last player with room to spare on the gameboard.
