Horse racing board games of the late 19th century took many different names. The steeplechase race enjoyed great popularity during this time and many board games bore that name. McLoughlin Brothers produced many steeplechase board games; this one bears the name "Jerome Park Steeplechase." Jerome Park, now a part of The Bronx, once held the title of the most important steeplechase park in New York.
