Some historians credit New York game maker Clark & Sowdon with inventing the game Fish Pond, sometimes called Fishing. Whoever invented the game, many makers produced versions and modern examples are still made today. La Velle Manufacturing Co. of New Haven made this Frog Pond version and copyrighted it in 1922. Instead of printed cardboard fish, this uses green painted metal frogs. The frogs are 'hooked' through holes where their eyes are located.
