For Marvel Comics, saving the world has become a profitable enterprise. Originally known as Timely Publications when founded by Martin Goodman in 1939, the company explored the exciting and popular new medium of comic books. Milton Bradley introduced Marvel Comics: Super Heroes in 1980, a strategic, chess-like game in which players battle with popular Marvel heroes and villains.
