"If you're going to go, go big," Bucephalus Games President Dan Tibbles proclaimed. And go big he did. In 2008, Tibbles launched his fledgling company Bucephalus Games with a whopping g 37 titles, instead of testing the waters with just one or two. These games span many genres, including strategy games, card games, party games, and general board games. Bucephalus' first 12 products, which were released in July 2008, were in development and testing for two years and are products of game industry veterans. Tibbles plans to sell these games in smaller venues, such as hobby and bookstores, but not in the general market.
Michelangelo is a strategy board game where players perform the duties of Michelangelo's apprentices. Each player attempts to get the most credit for his or her artwork, earns favor with Michelangelo's patrons, and may even buy his or her way into power. The apprentice with the most fame at the end of the game wins.
