Road to the White House board game by Mayfair Games, a 1992 simulation of the process of being a candidate for president, campaigning, and winning (electoral) votes in each state. The game involves an element of role-playing as each player builds and then sticks to the platform of a candidate in this political race. With complex rules and extensive note-taking required during the play, the game found both positive and negative praise. Perhaps it simulates too closely an actual presidential campaign, and all the attendant positives and negatives.
