Western Publishing's 1994 game "Let's Go to the Park" featuring Sesame Street characters targets the pre-schooler age range because no reading is required. A simple race game along a straight track, it does require the players to be able to count to three. The friendly characters fromt he famous PBS children's television series tag along behind each player and populate the game board. Although not as simple as Candy Land, this spin-off version might qualify as one of a child's first games.
