"Snoopy Come Home!" is a 1972 musical comedy Drama directed by Bill Melendez and written by Charles M. Shultz, award-winning and longtime author and artist of the "Peanuts" comic strip. The film marked the first movie appearance of the bird character Woodstock, who first appeared in the comic strip in 1966. Shultz's characters, a fixture in newspapers and then on television in the later 20th century, are still much beloved.
