Board game:Steeple Chasing

Many board game manufacturers produced horse race games in the later 19th century. Mcloughlin Brothers of New York made many versions; their "Steeple Chasing" is just one example. The game's box cover features a stick border motif. This design related to actual steeple chase hurdles, which were made out of wood.
