Parker Brothers Game of Buffalo Bill, with a copyright date of 1898, marks the career of one of America's most famous men at that time. William Cody (1846-1917), famous as a cowboy and showman, is also recognized for service in the United States Army and known for his prominent viewpoints and personal philosophy. Just like game producers today, Parker Brothers hoped Cody's name and fame would help popularize the board game.
