Board game:The Game of Circination or Swinging Round the Circle

The box cover of McLoughlin's game "Circination" shows design typical of the late 1880s, and it is marked with an 1887 copyright date. Besides the anthropomorphic animals playing the game on the box cover, decorative borders and fanciful scrolls characterize the design. Circination is a puzzle and strategy game, resembling Chinese Checkers, but played with round pegs.
