Board game:The Game of Tripoley Service Edition Kings and Queens

Tripoley is just one of the names given to a game, now in the public domain, played with a game board and a standard deck of cards. Designer Stanley Hopkins sold the rights to his game Tripoley to Cadaco-Ellis (later Cadaco) in 1937. The firm published this "Service Edition" during World War II. To play the game, opponents must supply their own deck of cards and gambling chips. Three consecutive games then affect the placement of the chips on the board and in player's pockets. First a round of hearts, then a hand of poker, and finally Michigan rummy finishes the game. One of the other names for this game is Michigan Rummy, but it should not be confused with other card games in the rummy family. Cadaco still manufactures versions of Tripoley.
