Board game:Tri-Bang

An early copyright date of 1888 clearly marks McLoughlin Brothers' game "Tri-Bang." The game is like a version of Tic-Tac-Toe and resembles rival game makers J.H. Singers very popular game "Go-Bang." McLoughlin's expert work on the box cover image demonstrates the very popular anthropomorphic imagery of the era: animals with human characteristics and clothing.
