Chaffee & Selchow patented their board game "Turn Over" in 1898. Though it resembles checkers, it is a different kind of strategy game played on an eight-sided checkerboard. When a player places a red disc near his opponent's yellow ones, all those in adjacent spaces are turned over, to their red sides. The winner has more discs in his color at the end of the game, when all squares are occupied.
