In the 1950s Walt Disney scored a huge his with his "Davy Crockett" television series, which was them re-edited into several full-length movies. Gardner Games of Chicago licensed rights to produce a very simple board game. The main feature is a huge spinner shaped like the series' star Fess Parker as Davy Crockett. Players collect "cards" in the order of their happening on the series--each bears the title of one episode. Not many games carry human-shaped spinners. The cards are printed in vivid color while the spinner image remains black and white, just like Parker appeared in the televised episodes.
