Board games often reflect the culture of the time they are produced. This is especially true of games made to commemorate or somehow recapture the thrill or the humor of a film or television program. Pick a classic movie or long-running show and no doubt someone paid a license fee to use the name on a board game. And this is not only true of great examples. Games commemorate lousy or unsuccessful films as well. Some successfully mimic a film or program's action, others bear no relation to the subject except name.
