A carved wood sculpture by the South African sculptor Collen Maswanganyi (b.1977). Short Biography Collen Maswanganyi, born on January 17, 1977 in Noblehoek near Giyani, Limpopo Province, South Africa, comes from a family of artists, with his father being a renowned sculptor. After obtaining a Fine Arts Diploma from Technikon Witwatersrand in 1999, he became a full-time artist and has since gained recognition for his wooden sculptures, often painted and ranging from modestly dressed figures to those incorporating modern technology.
