Bolsover Castle

Bolsover Castle sits on a ridge high above the Vale of Scarsdale in Derbyshire, on the site of a medieval fortress. In the 17th century, the castle became an extraordinary aristocratic retreat.

The ‘Little Castle' has remarkable seventeenth-century wall-paintings and decorative paintwork. It also features reproduction furnishings, such as those in the Star Chamber, seen here.
